Crushed Makeup

Don’t you just hate it when your favorite makeup gets crushed?!  I know I do, it sucks!

This was the case not too long ago,  but I remembered I had pinned a ‘how to fix crushed makeup DIY’ (found here) and decided to give it a try.

Guys…it worked perfectly!
I think i cried a little when i saw the results.

Fix crushed make-up
Supplies you'll need...

Butter knife
food wrap
Alcohol

Step 1: Cover the make up with food wrap and crush it with butter knife
Step 2: Remove the food wrap. Add a few droplets of rubbing alcohol into the crushed make up and mix with the butter knife until all make up is covered in the alcohol. It should create a muddy mixture, while its still wet with the same butter knife smooth out the make up.
Wait until the make up is completely dry to apply.

Mine took about three hours to dry. Besides the alcohol smell, its as if nothing happened to it!

Apple Chips

One of my goals for 2013 is to cut back on the sweets. I don’t want to completely erase them from my diet because….well..i get cranky I need my sweets.  So I need some sweets. Healthy sweets. Mouthwatering sweets. Delish sweets…APPLE CHIPS.

Apple chips require patience, but the results are worth it.  And may I add these chips are guilt-free!

1 Apple
Cinammon
Sugar (optional)
1 Lemon or lime

-          Preheat oven at 250
-          Into a small bowl mix ½ cup of water and lemon/lime juice. Set aside.
-          Cut the apple into either circles or wedges thinly, as soon as you cut them let them soak in the lemon/ lime mixture, this will prevent the apples from turning brown.

-          Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper, and lay out the apples not overlaying them.
-          Sprinkle  cinnamon and sugar (optional) into the apples slices

-          Cook for an hour and a half. Midway through flip the apple slices.

Enjoy!

Mushroom Frame

This DIY is so simple and cute. It took my no more than fifteen minutes to finish it. I’ve been seeing paint chip crafts all over Pintrest lately (I’m hooked!), it was just a matter of time before I joined the paint chip bandwagon.

Before you start adjust the paper accordingly to the size of the frame.

1.       Using the back of the paint chips draw a mushroom outline and cut them out.

2.       Glue them onto your paper. I used the leftover paint chip samples and cut out small triangles and glued them in the corners of the paper.

3.       Get similar colors as the paint chips and draw random polka dots.
4.       Frame it!
